SSU COED conducts Good Luck, Pencil Ceremony for March 2025 LEPT takers

CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines—In a heartfelt show of support and encouragement, Samar State University’s (SSU) College of Education (COED), in collaboration with the Educator’s Guild (COED Student Government Organization), held the Good Luck Program and Pencil Ceremony for the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) takers. The event took place on March 14, 2025, at the SSU Convention Center.
The ceremony was graced by SSU President, COED faculty members, and distinguished alumni who shared their words of wisdom and motivation with the aspiring educators. Among the notable guests were SSU topnotchers Ms. Maria Sharalene M. Lamoste, who placed 10th in the March 2024 LEPT (Secondary Level, Major in Science), and Ms. Christine Jude M. Betanzor, who secured the 8th place in the March 2023 LEPT (Secondary Level, Major in Science). Both alumnae delivered inspirational messages, encouraging the LEPT takers from the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED), Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) majors in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, as well as Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd).
The Good Luck Program and Pencil Ceremony, a symbolic event, served as a reminder of the university’s continuous support to its students. The University President and faculty members joined in sending prayers and best wishes, reinforcing their commitment to the success of the future educators.
