Catbalogan City – A workshop session was attended by the Statistics major students headed by Mr. Arvie Castillo, a Statistics instructor of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), last October 2019, at the CAS Stastistics Laboratory.
The workshop is in connection to the celebration of the 30th National Statistics Month (NSM) with the theme “Data Innovation: Key to a Better Nation” wherein students where tasked to create infographics with data already provided to them.
The students were grouped and they were able to craft three infographics: (1) Housing Characteristics in Samar: 1960-2015; (2) Occupied Housing Units by Province: 1960-2015; and (3) Housing Characteristics in Samar: 1960-2015.
The infographics were evaluated by the Statistics instructors and will be subjected to further development.
